We have been asked many questions about our Marketing and Auction Service.  While we've tried to answer them in the other pages of this web site, here are some specific questions and answers.

Q. Why won't you accept fleece show, spin-off, or shorn class ribbons count towards eligibility?

A) Our intent is to showcase the entire animal. An animal may have terrific fleece, but conformation defects. A fleece show ribbon will not indicate conformation faults. We feel this is not the best interest of anyone involved.

Q. I have a female that has never shown, and she does not have two winning offspring yet, as your eligibility criteria require. Can I add another ribbon winning alpaca to form a package?

A) No. Our intent is to use the show system the way it works best, so we need to use our eligibility requirements.

Q. What kind of package deals can I consign?

A) We are accepting packages of a group of three or more alpacas that can be combined into a single lot.

Q. I am consigning alpacas in the auction. Can I keep my animals on my farm during the auction?

A) Yes. In fact, since this is an online auction, there is no location other than your farm to keep them.

Q. Will you charge my credit card or cash my check before the animal is accepted?

A) Not at all. We only process payment once we accept an animal. We will return your check or simply not process the credit card if your entry does not get accepted.

Q. What types of alpacas get accepted?

A) We accept all types of alpacas; Huacaya and Suri, male and female, any color. Our decision criteria is somewhat subjective, but we rely on show records, pictures, and fleece samples.

Q. What is your marketing plan?

A) We have designed an extensive marketing plan which includes web, email, print and first class mail. It is designed around getting maximum exposure for the auction and for your entries. See the details of our plan.

Q. How is payment handled?

A) The buyer will send us payment and we send the payment to the consignor when we have ascertained the funds have cleared. We are striving for convenience, so we accept Visa/MC/AMEX/Discover, PayPal, certified check, farm check, personal check, and money order.

Q. When will you have another auction?

A) Yes, we will be having additional auctions in the future, keep our web site in your favorites to watch for future events.
